Tyss - are you referring to Dove beauty bar soap?  Be aware its isethionate sulfonate surfactants are syndets (synthetic detergents ) aso not natural.

Yes, we will refer to dove and its nature: it is indeed a syndet and not a soap.  This is why I would like to have an idea on the manufacturing process of the syndet in general

Chapter 4 of Soap Manufacturing Technology, edited by Luis Spitz, is an excellent starting point.

The Dove Beauty Bar does contain soap ingredients.
Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Tallowate Or Sodium Palmitate, Lauric Acid, Sodium Isethionate, Water, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoate Or Sodium Palm Kernelate, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium Edta, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891).
I think this type of bar is usually classified as a Combination bar (Soap/Syndet).
There are many syndet starting formulas available on UL Prospector.
