    Hello,

I have recently tried formulating a salt spray but I noticed separation once it started cooling down.

    The ingredients are:

    Water
    Amodimethicone
    Trideceth-12
    Cetrimonium Chloride
    Magnesium Sulfate - 3%
    Cetearyl Alcohol
    Polysorbate 60
    Sodium Chloride - 0.2%
    Citric Acid
    Phenoxyethanol

I mixed the salts in the water and then heated it to 75-80 deg C before adding
    Amodimethicone
    Trideceth-12
    Cetrimonium Chloride
    Magnesium Sulfate
    Cetearyl Alcohol
    Polysorbate 60

It was stable until I turned off the heat. White chunks started forming and floating on top.

Did I not heat it enough? Was there too much salt?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thank you!

@Cosmetic_Chemist Can you try one sample without salts? Some emulsions don’t tolerate high amounts of electrolytes.
