Lab Equipment: What is your preferred Hotplate?

The title says everything - looking for brand references, something that is decent quality but will fit in the budget of a small lab. Used is not out of the question and I will hunt Ebay for a reliable brand if need be. Thank you.

I've tended to use generic domestic hotplates in the past. I bought a stand alone single ring induction hob from our local Aldi for about £30. Works great with steel beakers.
Whatever you choose I'd avoid halogen hotplates. Trying to look into a small beaker thats heated by something with the intensity of a car headlight gets stale very quickly
